Sustainability

Sustainability at Franklin School

Our sustainability program is led by our Ministers for the Environment.

The program provides further opportunities for student leadership across the school as well as enhancing the environmentally friendly processes and procedures the school has in place.

The program supports student understanding of environmental issues affecting their lives at school, home and across the world.

While holding their position, Ministers for the Environment meet with staff to discuss environmental issues and concerns and create solutions that they can implement across the school and community.

They also coordinate whole school environmental events and activities including Waste Free Wednesday and 'Clean Up Australia Day'.

They also increase student awareness of waste management and environmental issues.

Franklin School Worm Farm

In 2022, our Ministers for the Environment worked collaboratively with Cid from Global Worm to establish a Franklin School Worm Farm.
