The ACT Government is investing $29.5 million for the expansion of our school to become a full preschool to year 6 school by 2022. The expansion will provide up to 450 additional places for students to meet the need for local primary and early childhood services.
The expansion plans include the construction of new permanent school buildings, a new multi-purpose community hall/gymnasium, sports field, hard courts, upgrades to the landscaping and additional carparking. Experience a visual fly through of the school once completed.
The build will deliver a contemporary learning environment focussed on 21st learning and additional community facilities for local clubs and groups.
The design of the new buildings aims to best utilise the current site, ensuring adequate external learning environments are maintained, to avoid overshadowing of existing school buildings and to minimise disruption to the school and community through the construction period.
The Early Childhood School philosophy has influenced the design of the new by designing spaces that allow for inclusive practices for all children both indoors and outdoors, supporting community use through open spaces that encourages interactions and conversation with families and external agencies and maintaining space for the Community Coordinator to support families to access other government and community-based support services.
As well as providing for the educational needs of our young people, our schools are also important hubs for the local community and provide facilities for local clubs and groups. The school expansion will provide additional community facilities for the area and will include a multipurpose gym, sports courts and change-room facilities, outdoor turf sports field, outdoor multipurpose hardcourts for everyone to enjoy.

The Early Childhood School philosophy so highly valued by the school community will flow into the design of the expanded buildings, including:
- ongoing community use through open spaces that encourages interactions and conversation with families and external agencies
- maintenance of the allocation of space for the Community Coordinator to undertake their role, which is support for families to access other government and community-based support services
- expansion of the space for the current education and care service to continue to provide before, after and vacation care to children across the school
- maintenance of the contemporary early childhood approach to learning, by designing spaces that allow for inclusive practices for all children both indoors and outdoors.
